Description
Your Thanksgiving Cranberry sauce with a twist.
Ingredients
  • 1 can crushed pineapple in juice
  • 6 ounces strawberry jello
  • 1 cup water
  • 16 ounces whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
  1. Drain pineapple well saving all juice
  2. Add juice to gelatin in a 2 qt saucepan
  3. Stir in water
  4. Heat to boiling, stirring to dissolve gelatin
  5. Remove from heat
  6. Blend in cranberry sauce
  7. Add lemon juice and nutmeg
  8. Chill until mixture thickens slightly (DO NOT USE METAL CONTAINER TO CHILL)
  9. Blend sour cream into gelatin mixture
  10. Fold in pineapple and pecans
  11. Chill until firm
