Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

Home Made Vanilla Bean Ice cream that tastes very much like Turkey Hill's All Natural Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1.5 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1.5 cups Whole Milk
  • 2/3 cups granulated sugar sifted
  • 1/8 tsp salt sifted


  • Whisk together vanilla bean paste, milk, sugar, and salt till the sugar dissolves
  • Freeze the mixture till it drops to at least 38 degrees Fahrenheit stirring every 10 minutes
  • Whisk cream and pure vanilla extract into the mix
  • Follow vendor instructions for the ice cream maker


Be sure to use an airtight container and store the ice cream in the freezer.
Pure vanilla extract will help reduce hard freezing of the ice cream vs a knockoff
You can replace the vanilla bean paste with an actual vanilla bean if desired.
For a richer ice cream, use 2 cups of heavy cream and 1 cup of whole milk
